A Seattle, Wa., Shoreline resident until my 1964 graduation from Shoreline High School. I was involved with and President of the Distributive Education Clubs of America, and also a member of Shorelines car club, Bonhomes or “Good Men”
I married my high school sweetheart in 1965 and served in the Army from 1966 to 1969. The majority of our married life until 1998 was spent living and raising our two sons on Whidbey Island
I commuted for 20 years working in the Recreational Vehicle industry selling parts both at the store location in Edmonds and traveling Wa., Idaho, Vancouver BC, Oregon, and into Alaska. While traveling I took parts orders from dealerships and worked with clients to set up new dealerships or expand their existing parts departments. The late 70’s found me moving into the retail end of the RV Industry, selling both RV’S and Mobile Homes. In 1987 Marie and I took the plunge into business ownership, buying out my parents RV dealership in Lynnwood, Wa. We spent 11 years happily working with customers who were both looking to purchase and sell their camping vehicles. During those years we took time out to join Thousand Trails and spent much time in and around Eastern Wa. Enjoying what this area had to offer.
On a trip to the Methow in 1998 we were both surprised and excited to find ourselves purchasing our “little piece of heaven” on the Methow River. It took almost no time to realize that this is where we wanted to live and in 2000 we hauled ourselves, pets, plants, and furniture across the mountains. Loving buying and selling but mostly being a people person I signed up for classes and joined my first agency in Twisp in about 2003. Of course this decision was also reached due to being too young to retire 🙂 It’s 10 years later and I’m just as in love with my work as when I began. I would be proud to work with you to help you locate your “little piece of heaven” and begin your new life.
